The Lord is Working August 28, 2008

Hey Girls!

I hope that everyone has had a great week so far! I am so excited to see what the Lord is doing in all of your lives.  I have had  an opportunity to talk with a lot of you this week from middle school age to college age! God is definitely in our midst and working! As I talked to Paige Meadows this week on the phone it was so encouraging to hear all that the Lord has been doing in her life since she left for college.  Check out her blog at www.paigemarie.wordpress.comand see what the Lord is up to!  I hope that it will be a challenge and encouragement to you all.

As I was spending time with the Lord the other night the Lord reminded me up of obedience and faith.  I was in 1 Samuel 14:1-14.  It is the story of Jonathan attacking the Philistines.  In this passage Jonathan takes a leap of faith by fulfilling what God had called him to do.  That was, defeating the Philistines.  He took that leap of faith and trusted that the Lord would protect and bless his decision.  The Lord did! How often do we forget that when God has called us to something it is for our good and His glory!?! How often do we say “no Lord I want to my own thing and what “i” think is best for me”?!?! May we realize daily we have to surrender to the Lord and remember it is He who should lead us and not ourselves!

Girls!!!

So I have decided to make this blog avaliable to all of you girls from middle school to college.  I really would like  you to post on here what the Lord is doing in your life.  If you are interested in being apart of posting things are on here please let me know! I would love for this to be a way for all of the college girls to keep in contact with middle and high school girls and still have an impact while you are away at school.  Those of you who tell me you want to post on the blog I will make you an admin.  So let me know! Hey Girls!!

I am creating this blog as a way for all of you to keep up with what is going on in girl’s ministry here at Long Hollow.  I am so excited about serving with all of you this year! I know the Lord has great things in store for all of you this year! We are going to be having a lot of great things going on this fall with girls ministry.  We are going to be having bible studies, fellowships throughout the school year, and also community outreach things going on! I hope that all of you will jump on board! Love you all and can’t wait to spend more time with all of you this year!
